Picture a role where you’re the financial heartbeat of a busy hospitality operation and the person everyone trusts when the numbers must be right.
Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to run on-site accounting and reporting for a high-occupancy, owner-influenced hotel environment. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and key operational partners, bringing clarity to performance, tightening processes, and helping modernize systems over time.
Compensation
- Expected salary range is $85,000 – $100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle accounting and maintain accurate records across all core accounts
- Deliver monthly reporting, variance analysis, and practical insights for leadership
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Manage revenue reconciliations across PMS, deposits, third-party channels, and merchant processing
- Prepare owner statements and reporting packages in a strata hotel style model
- Oversee payroll accounting coordination with an outsourced payroll provider (biweekly cadence), including reconciliations
- Ensure sales tax and statutory requirements are supported accurately and on time
- Improve procedures, documentation, and financial controls
- Partner with operations leaders (front office and beyond) to solve issues before they become surprises
- Coordinate with external accountants to support year-end processes and compliance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience with strong month-end and reconciliations capability
- Ability to thrive on-site in a hands-on, high-ownership role
- Strong systems aptitude (accounting software plus hotel PMS experience is an advantage)
- Hospitality or property based accounting exposure is preferred, but strong transferable experience will be considered
- CPA is an asset, not a requirement; support for CPA education and sign-off may be available
- Trustworthy, detail-driven, and comfortable working with confidential information
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-minded approach
Why this role
- On-site accommodation available (private one-bedroom staff housing arrangement)
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits
- Potential perks such as parking support and a seasonal pass (where applicable)
- A stable, year-round permanent opportunity
- Direct access to leadership and meaningful influence on operations and improvements
- CPA development support may be available, depending on your path and experience
