As a Project Manager, you will have full responsibility for assigned project budgets, schedules, quality, and resource requirements under the direction of the Project Director. You will have the authority and resources required to successfully achieve established project objectives.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with Preconstruction Services to prepare and/or oversee the preparation of project Control Budgets.
- Participate in contract negotiations, including meetings and communications with Owners, Architects, and Consultants from concept design through contract signing.
- Prepare Letters of Intent for trades on Construction Management projects.
- Coordinate with the Contracts Manager to ensure appropriate contract templates, Letters of Intent, and schedules are used.
- Manage the day-to-day execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with the Master Schedule, Control Budget, Contract Documents, and project requirements.
- Manage the receipt, logging, and distribution of drawings, specifications, shop drawings, colour schedules, contemplated change orders, change orders, site instructions, consultant reports, concrete and material tests, inspection reports, and RFIs.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address scheduling, budget, quality, and coordination issues.
- Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
This Role Could Be for You If You Have
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 6–8 years of construction experience preferred, ideally working on high-rise residential projects.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore and SharePoint.
- Ability to manage complex documentation while maintaining accuracy in project tracking.
- Experience coordinating with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Up to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Vacation: 15 days per calendar year.
- Paid Sick Days: 6 days per calendar year.
- Paid Personal Days: 3 days per calendar year.
- Extended Health Benefits: Comprehensive benefits coverage available after three months of employment.
- RRSP Program: Employer contribution of $80 per biweekly pay period ($2,080 annually) after three months of employment, plus matching of personal contributions up to an additional $2,000 per calendar year.
