Our client is looking for 4 Clinical Business Analysts to support a significant transformation to their Clinical Information Solution.
Note: The location of work will be remote, but the proponents should be able to travel to the province of New Brunswick at least once a month throughout the project duration.
Overview of Project:
The client is undergoing a significant transformation, transitioning from various standalone hospital information systems to a unified, standardized, and integrated Clinical Information Solution (CIS), known as the Symbio Program. This transformation prioritizes the standardization of clinical practices province-wide, a crucial step toward achieving a unified provincial CIS. The focus is on identifying leading practices in patient care delivery and responsible health data management. Implementation of the CIS will modernize how care is delivered, enabling greater consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across the health system.
The Health client is seeking the services of a Clinical Business Analyst focused on Patient Access (Registration and Scheduling) to assist with initiatives related to the standardization and implementation of the CIS.
The client requires Clinical Business Analysts (CBA)- Patient Access (Registration and Scheduling) to support the CIS Program. The role of the CBA- Patient Access encompasses several activities to develop clinical standards and the implementation of the CIS for use throughout. The primary focus is to support the creation and CIS implementation of standard order sets, documentation templates and other workflows used by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other regulated health professionals providing bedside care as it relates to patient access.
MUST HAVES
- University Degree in either Healthcare, Business Administration or Information Technology or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Business Analyst / Clinical Informatics Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for Patient Access (Registration and Scheduling) related requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation obtained in the last 10 years.
- Demonstrated experience working with acute care Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS), and healthcare operations as it relates to Patient Access (Registration and Scheduling)
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst/Clinical Informatics Analyst in health information systems/CIS implementation projects. With direct demonstrated experience working in healthcare operations Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS), building or implementing a similar scale project as it relates to Patient Access (Registration and Scheduling) in a Canadian acute care healthcare system similar in size and complexity to New Brunswick.
- Must be able to start on October 12th
Nice to have’s:
- Demonstrated experience as a Clinical Business Analyst responsible for Patient Access (Registration and Scheduling) related requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation in one or more of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Laboratory).
- Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in French and English is strongly preferred.
- Facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops with healthcare providers to identify and articulate business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases.
- Demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work with multiple teams supporting more than one project stream/activity at a time.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) and Atlassian’s JIRA software in a Project/work environment.
- Previous experience working within public health authorities, showcasing a strong understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed review of existing business requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of clinical standards.
- Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate the existing requirements and collect net new business and information technology requirement, including gap analysis.
- Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of clinical standards.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and client requirements to support the development, operations, and deployment of the clinical standardization project; recommend and implement solutions to achieve defined objectives, monitoring their effectiveness.
- Build, validate, and test clinical content in the CIS
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.
