Lead Projects Shaping Ontario’s Transportation Future Join a high-performing MTO Design & Delivery team in a senior leadership role where you will help shape some of Ontario’s most complex and high-profile highway infrastructure programs.
In this role, you will lead major MTO highway design and delivery assignments, including P3 and alternative delivery initiatives, working at the intersection of engineering, project leadership, client strategy, and infrastructure delivery.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where technical expertise, leadership, innovation, and strategic thinking are valued.
Your Impact
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale MTO highway design projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality, schedule, and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Provide senior leadership across complex design and delivery assignments, bringing together multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve key project milestones.
- Lead strategic planning and execution for MTO, P3, and alternative delivery models, contributing to high-profile and technically challenging infrastructure programs.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, resources, quality assurance, and risk management to support successful project outcomes.
- Provide strategic direction on contract documentation, proposals, and project planning.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with MTO and other key stakeholders, representing the organization as a senior transportation advisor.
- Champion innovation, best practices, and sustainable approaches to highway design and project delivery.
- Mentor and develop high-performing professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring
- P.Eng. designation in Canada; Ontario designation preferred.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience managing complex highway infrastructure projects.
- Direct MTO Design & Delivery experience is required, with a strong understanding of MTO processes, requirements, and project environments.
- Proven experience delivering MTO highway projects, including exposure to P3 and/or alternative delivery models.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering and project teams on complex assignments.
- Strong project leadership experience across budgets, schedules, resources, quality, and risk management.
- Expertise in contract documentation, proposal development, and strategic project planning.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and advanced project management tools.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative leadership approach with the ability to bring people together, navigate complexity, and drive projects forward.
- Adaptability and a willingness to take on challenging assignments in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation
Ontario: $161,500 – $222,300
Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range may be subject to change based on business requirements.
