We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join an established brokerage as it explores launching a new entity focused on commercial insurance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys business development and growing a book of business within the SME market. The brokerage will provide leads for you to pursue, while giving you the opportunity to leverage your industry expertise and entrepreneurial mindset to build lasting client relationships and expand the commercial portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new commercial insurance clients through cold calling, networking, and door knocking.
- Conduct client meetings, assess their insurance needs, and present tailored solutions.
- Negotiate policy terms and close sales to achieve revenue goals.
- Manage smaller accounts, including retention and cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with support teams for administrative tasks and client servicing.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance brokerage experience.
- Level 2 license
- Proven success in new business acquisition with a strong entrepreneurial attitude.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary plus commission structure for high earning potential. Expected salary range is $60,000 – $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
