The Scrum Master will work as part of cross-functional product delivery and/or program review teams, supporting sprint planning and execution, backlog refinement, continuous improvement, and stakeholder communication. This role is expected to support two (2) or more projects concurrently.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven experience coaching teams on Agile methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Strong experience leading and facilitating Agile ceremonies (e.g., planning, daily stand-ups, demos/reviews, retrospectives, refinement)
- Hands-on experience working in an Agile development environment
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience delivering training sessions via web-based interactive tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
- Experience coaching teams on accountability and self-organization, including guiding how teams can integrate AI into ways of working while maintaining human judgment and collaboration
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, deployment, and observability
- Personal experience using AI tools to streamline Scrum Master responsibilities (meeting preparation, documentation, reporting, backlog analysis, communication, delivery support)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in Agile principles, policies, and procedures
- Facilitate core Agile ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, product demos, retrospectives, and refinement (plus ad hoc sessions as needed)
- Coach the Product Owner and team on:
- estimation and sprint commitments
- managing external dependencies
- removing blockers and improving flow
- release planning, reporting, and roadmapping
- Track and report delivery progress and quality using Agile metrics and artifacts (e.g., velocity, burndown, product/sprint backlogs)
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, maximize transparency, and help resolve conflicts when they arise
- Participate in digital service delivery activities such as user research and usability testing (as required)
AI Fluency & Automation Expectations This role requires demonstrated AI fluency and comfort using generative AI and agentic tools for delivery-grade work, including drafting, analysis, meeting synthesis, backlog support, reporting, and automation. You will be expected to:
- apply prompt design and structured retrieval approaches
- assess AI output for risk (e.g., hallucination, privacy/sensitivity, appropriateness for the delivery environment)
- build AI-augmented routines that reduce administrative overhead (not just “consume” AI tools)
