About the Opportunity
This is a high-impact estimating role for someone who wants to be involved in a wide variety of projects (tenant improvement through to large new-build) and be positioned for long-term growth. You’ll work closely with a strong internal estimating group and partner with operations/business development to help win work and set projects up for success.

About the Position
Reporting to the Chief Estimator, the Senior Estimator will lead the preparation of detailed estimates for lump sum, unit rate, and cost-plus work, including conceptual budgeting, takeoffs, subcontractor coordination, and risk review.
Work Model & Schedule
- In office 5 days a week
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Very ad-hoc flexibility if needed (e.g., sick day)
- Occasional site visits (every 3–6 months)
Project Profile
- Commercial + light industrial (mix of new build and tenant improvement)
- Typical range: approx. $500K (TI) up to $30M+ (new build)
- Around 15–30 active projects at a time across the business
The Requirements
- 8+ years of construction estimating experience (ideally with a General Contractor)
- Strong ability to build estimates with limited/partial information when required (conceptual estimating)
- Excellent written/verbal communication and ability to explain estimating assumptions clearly
- Strong organization, accuracy, and professionalism (lead by example)
- Solid understanding of building construction from concept through completion
- Software comfort: MS Office, plus estimating/scheduling tools (e.g., Timberline, MS Project, Insite)
Assets
- Construction diploma/certificate
- Quantity Surveying or accounting-related education/experience
- Strong site exposure / practical construction knowledge
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary target range: $110,000–$150,000
