Are you a strategic finance leader who enjoys partnering with ownership to influence business decisions and drive long-term growth? We’re looking for a Director of Finance to join a successful, privately owned organization in a newly created leadership role.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing business where finance is viewed as a true strategic partner. Reporting directly to the President, you’ll lead the finance function, help shape future growth, and provide the financial insight needed to support key business decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with ownership and senior leadership to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning.
- Analyze profitability, cash flow, and business performance, providing recommendations to improve financial results.
- Develop financing strategies and manage relationships with banking and lending partners.
- Evaluate investments, capital projects, and business opportunities through financial analysis and risk assessment.
- Oversee financial reporting, internal controls, cash management, and corporate governance.
- Lead and mentor the finance team while building scalable processes to support continued growth.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting, and operational processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing proactive insights that support strategic decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
- CPA designation.
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience with financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and cash flow management.
- Experience working with banks, lenders, and financing facilities.
- Background in construction, manufacturing, or another project-based industry is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to influence business decisions through strong financial analysis and commercial thinking.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Exposure to broader corporate services such as HR, IT, or administration would be considered an asset.
- A hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
