Our client, a Calgary-based transportation company, is looking for an Account Executive to join their team to own the commercial relationship with our customers, end-to-end. This is not a pure hunter role. You will grow revenue from existing national accounts, win new business, and act as the primary customer-facing representative of the company across pricing, service issues, and business reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Growth
- Grow revenue within existing national accounts through regular customer contact, identifying new lanes, volumes, and service opportunities
- Prospect and win new customers in food, grocery, and CPG transportation, with a focus on temperature-controlled freight
- Expand limited-scope services (such as yard or shunting work) into full transportation partnerships
- Strengthen and diversify the company’s revenue base
Pricing, Bids & Contracts
- Own the full pricing process: prepare and present rate quotes, manage annual rate negotiations, and respond to RFQs/RFPs end to end
- Compile and submit all supporting documentation customers require (insurance certificates, safety ratings, compliance documents, carrier profiles)
Customer Relationship & Issue Management
- Serve as the single point of contact for customer escalations, including safety-related complaints and dispatch/service issues
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of sales, business development, or key account management experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics; reefer/food transportation experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record of growing enterprise or national accounts
- Hands-on experience managing RFQ/RFP processes for large retail or CPG shippers
- Working knowledge of trucking operations, dispatch, and safety/compliance (NSC) sufficient to coordinate credibly between customers and internal teams

Compensation
- $80-100K base salary depending on experience plus commissions and vehicle allowance
