Join a top employer & advance your client! Aplin has partnered with our Calgary-based client to hire an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant to support a busy practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other relevant documents
- Prepare and manage documents for court filings ensuring they meet established standards and guidelines
- Manage the scheduling of appointments and meetings
- Maintain filing of client files and assist in drafting correspondence and other communication as needed
Qualifications:
- Three to five years experience working as a legal assistant in family law
- Legal Assistant Diploma or Certificate required
- Proficiency in EsiLaw for case management and billing
- MS Office proficiency
- Experience with Worlddox, competence in utilizing Adobe for the creation and editing of documents
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
