A well-established Vancouver law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join its busy and supportive litigation practice group. This opportunity is suited for a legal professional with strong organizational skills and experience supporting litigation files, particularly within the insurance defence space. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced lawyers and contribute to the efficient management of a variety of litigation matters.
Compensation
- Competitive salary range of $60,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience
- Full-time, permanent opportunity
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Fully in-office role located in Downtown Vancouver

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to two litigation lawyers within a busy practice group
- Assist with a range of litigation matters, with a primary focus on insurance defence and ICBC-related files
- Manage file openings, closures, and ongoing file administration
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Review correspondence and assist with preparation of responses and documentation
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents as required
- Coordinate schedules, including examinations for discovery, trials, appointments, and expert meetings
- Support trial preparation activities and litigation-related deadlines
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of Lists of Documents
- Provide additional administrative support throughout the progression of files
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a legal administrative role
- Previous experience in insurance defence litigation is preferred
- Completion of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent legal experience
- Solid understanding of litigation procedures and court processes
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work while meeting deadlines
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while being a strong team contributor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt quickly to new legal software platforms
