About The Opportunity
This is a full-time, permanent Civil Construction Lead Hand position offering the chance to lead high-impact civil construction projects throughout the region. You’ll lead a dedicated crew on key infrastructure projects involving deep utilities, roadworks, and large-scale earthworks across the region. You’ll play a central role in timely, and high-quality project delivery.

About The Position
- Assist the Foreman with supervising and coordinating daily site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
- Lead and mentor field crews by assigning daily tasks, providing guidance, and promoting a positive, productive work environment.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to support project milestones and maximize productivity.
- Perform and oversee civil construction activities including excavation, underground utility installation, earthworks, grading, roadworks, concrete works, and site servicing.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, grade stakes, and project specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and meets quality standards.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and communicate with the Foreman and Project Team to resolve challenges and minimize project delays.
- Promote and enforce company health and safety policies by conducting toolbox talks, identifying hazards, and ensuring safe work practices are followed on site.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Complete daily reports, track production, labour hours, equipment usage, and material quantities while maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Support project closeout activities by assisting with inspections, deficiency corrections, and ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and ready for handover.
The Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in civil construction, with previous experience as a Lead Hand or senior field crew member.
- Proven experience working on heavy civil projects, including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, road construction, grading, concrete works, and site servicing.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with relevant safety certifications.
Compensation
- $40 – $47 Per Hour
