We are seeking a Warehouse Worker/Production Support worker for a 2-3 month contract with potential for permanent conversion based in Burnaby. This is a full-time role with a growing local company!
Primary Duties:
- Operate forklift
- Support the production process
- Pick parts for parts orders
- Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
- Inspect shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of the shipment
- Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping
- Adhere to production policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and/or standards and complete appropriate documentation as required
- Maintain production and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements
- Complete incident reports in relation to health and safety issues
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience
- Forklift certification required
- A clean driving record is desirable.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Business Central preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds required on a routine basis.
- Steel-toe boots must be worn inside the warehouse at all times.
- Ability to take direction and follow pre-established guidelines
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment
