We are hiring an Accounting Clerk for our Delta client. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, some bookkeeping duties as well as supporting general office administration. We are seeking someone with 2+ years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role with a focus on AP and AR. This position is fully in office.

About The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to oversee the day-to-day Accounts Payables and Receivables. Working directly with the Controller, the AP and AR Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing, coding, matching, batching, and soft collection calls. Additional administration and office support will include ordering office supplies, assisting with scheduling and in the future some supervisory responsibilities.

About The Position
  • Processing AP invoices.
  • Matching purchase orders.
  • Data entry.
  • AR, soft collection phone calls.
  • Account reconciliation.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date records.
  • Processing expenses.
  • Assists with Financial Reporting, prepares summaries, and reports as required.
  • Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, supplies, and general administrative workflows.
  • Assist with reception coverage and other front-office tasks as needed.
The Requirements
  • 2+ years of accounting.
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting.
  • Experience with high volume AP/AR; matching, batching, coding.
  • Prior experience/knowledge of Accounting software.
  • Hands on experience processing transactions, managing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling accounts
  • Experience generating financial reports and supporting month-end and year-end accounting activities.
  • Strong Excel, Outlook, and Word skills
  • Strong communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with clients for collections.
  • Indirect leadership or mentorship experience is an asset.
Compensation
  • Salary range $58,000–$63,000
  • 3 weeks of vacation.
