Our Winnipeg-based client is looking for someone to support the monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of processes, products, and systems to assure conformity to international standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the Implementation, Monitoring, Improvement and Control of the Quality System as required.
- Perform periodic process and products audits (including VDA 6.3 audits), and Quality System Audits to IATF 16949 Standard.
- Prepare and assist during External Audits. To receive, implement, and respond to Non conformances and validate corrective actions.
- Oversee receiving inspection and to notify, control and coordinate the disposition of non-conforming material from external providers. To receive and validate corrective actions.
- Effectively work with customers, suppliers, and other team members to ensure a quick and effective containment and problem resolution through the 8D Problem Solving process.
- Assist on new product launches, development, PPAP documentation (including FAI), process validation.
- Oversee the effective implementation of SPC to analyze, validate, control processes and perform capability studies.
- Supervise, coordinate and maintain the Calibration program, including the disposition of equipment out of calibration, and sourcing new equipment. Perform Measurement System Analysis.
- Work with Engineering Department to qualify new equipment or tooling for the improvement of processes.
- Support Product transfers in all needed Quality related support
- Provide training to inspection or production personnel as required.
- Stop production processes to avoid the creation of non-conforming product.
- Other tasks as required by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or diploma from a technical field – engineering preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing setting.
- Experience in quality tasks and functions, including 8D problem solving, PPAP, FAI, calibration, statistical process control, PFMEA, control plans, supplier audits, internal audits, etc.
- Excellent computer skills, especially Excel.
- Experience in ISO, or TS/IATF processes.
- Experience in the manufacturing environment, ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
