Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Secretary 2 (ADM06) to provide temporary administrative support for their food safety program in Halifax, NS.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting both internal teams and the public. This contract role offers a consistent part-time schedule and the opportunity to contribute to an important public service initiative in a fully on-site environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare general correspondence and documentation
- Schedule appointments and coordinate calendars
- Arrange travel and process expense reports
- Compose non-routine correspondence and reports
- Maintain filing systems and records management processes
- Respond to phone inquiries and provide customer support
- Assist with permit processing and administrative coordination
- Provide in-person support to clients and stakeholders
- Perform other related administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Grade XI education required
- Completion of a one-year commercial or business course preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related administrative experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office systems
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered
