Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk in Winnipeg to join our client’s team on a temporary basis, starting immediately. This role supports the finance department with high-volume expense and invoice processing and requires a strong understanding of Canadian taxes. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Process high-volume employee expense claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and compliance with company policies.
- Apply and verify Canadian tax calculations (GST/HST/PST/QST as applicable)
- Match invoices to supporting documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with internal departments and vendors to address inquiries and issues.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing of accounts payable documentation.
- Assist with month-end activities as required.
- Perform other accounts payable and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume expense claim processing
- Strong understanding of Canadian tax regulations related to accounts payable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a busy environment
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel is an asset
- Criminal record check is required
