Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager for an immediate onsite role in Winnipeg to lead complex healthcare IT transformation initiatives. This long-term onsite contract role requires extensive experience managing enterprise-scale technology projects, healthcare system implementations, infrastructure modernization, vendor coordination, and organizational change initiatives.
The successful candidate will provide leadership across multiple project streams, ensuring successful delivery of strategic healthcare technology programs while collaborating with executive stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale healthcare IT and digital transformation initiatives
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk management activities
- Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, application implementations, and system decommissioning activities
- Oversee vendor relationships, procurement activities, contract deliverables, and RFP evaluation processes
- Lead governance reporting and provide regular updates to steering committees and executive leadership
- Support organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication planning
- Ensure alignment with security and compliance frameworks including NIST methodologies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple project streams
Requirements
- Valid PMP Certification
- Valid PRINCE2 Certification
- Valid Management of Risk (MoR) Certification
- Valid Prosci Change Management Certification
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a project management role developing project plans and budgets, monitoring project performance against tolerances, and reporting progress to project steering committees
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with direct experience in infrastructure upgrades and system management, including decommissioning scope
- Minimum 1 year of experience planning and organizing information security services with a focus on internationally recognized security methodologies such as the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) framework
- Minimum 3 years of experience planning and leading a multi-year organizational IT transformation program consisting of multiple streams of IT projects, including management of multiple vendors
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager implementing IntelliSpace Cardiovascular (ISCV) system software in a healthcare environment
- Minimum 1 year of experience implementing an electronic patient care record (ePCR) system in rural areas, including scoring RFPs and managing vendors
- Criminal background check is required
