Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO Business Analyst for an immediate long-term remote contract opportunity. The successful candidate will support enterprise SAP initiatives with a focus on SAP S/4HANA FICO solutions, business process optimization, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery within a complex public sector environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support business analysis activities related to SAP S/4HANA FICO and Record-to-Report (RTR) product areas
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements
- Work within an agile environment to develop user stories, manage backlogs, and support sprint planning activities
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings across diverse business and technical teams
- Configure SAP S/4HANA FICO modules and support solution design activities
- Develop functional specifications, test plans, unit testing documentation, and user acceptance testing scripts
- Support SAP implementation, enhancement, and optimization initiatives
- Provide expertise related to financial and controlling processes within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
- Collaborate with development teams, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Support integration activities across FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, CRM, FSCM, and related SAP modules
- Contribute to strategic product direction while supporting day-to-day operational and project delivery needs
- Prepare documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7 years of SAP S/4HANA experience within FICO domains and RTR product areas
- 5+ years of experience as an SAP S/4HANA FICO Business Analyst
- Experience working within agile environments developing user stories, requirements, and backlog management activities
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Technical product knowledge and domain expertise within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA FICO expertise including:
- System configuration
- Functional specification writing
- Unit testing
- UAT test script development
- Demonstrated ability to influence strategic vision while supporting tactical product execution
- 3+ years of direct public sector experience
- Proven success delivering products and solutions that meet business objectives and maximize product value
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, particularly when working with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA environments
- Criminal background check is required
