Our client, an established organization with a strong technical engineering environment, is seeking an experienced VB.NET Developer for a full-time temporary contract. Do note that this is a fully remote position but you must reside in Canada .
This role will support the integration of internally developed applications with third-party CAD software systems.
Responsibilities
- Execute software development activities under the direction of a Project Manager
- Maintain and manage code within a shared repository environment
- Perform unit testing and validation of developed solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Document release plans and support coordinated deployments
Required Skills & Experience
- VB.NET programming experience (Visual Studio 2019 or newer)
- WinForms (.NET) development
- SQL and database development experience
- Experience with API integrations
Asset Qualifications
- VB6 programming experience
- GitLab repository management
- Experience working with CAD software platforms (e.g., SolidEdge, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD environments)
- Exposure to engineering or manufacturing design environments considered an asset
