The Opportunity
As part of a well-established and respected tax function, you will be involved in a broad range of analytical, compliance, and advisory activities. This is a role where you can build depth in tax while also expanding your business acumen and influence.
Key areas of focus include:
- Partnering with internal teams to provide tax guidance and insight
- Supporting tax-related aspects of planning, forecasting, and budgeting
- Preparing, analyzing, and supporting tax and royalty reporting for internal and external purposes
- Collaborating with external advisors and stakeholders
- Contributing to process improvements and efficiency initiatives across the function
What You Bring
- CPA designation
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a focus on Canadian tax
- Experience in public practice or industry with strong exposure to tax compliance
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Enrollment in or completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program is considered an asset
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Additional strengths that would be valued:
- Experience in a large or multi-entity environment
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP is an asset)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
