Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Asset Manager to lead commercial aircraft acquisition, leasing, and asset management activities. The ideal candidate will come from a lessor, airline, or aviation investment background and bring strong industry relationships and access to aircraft sourcing channels, including off-market opportunities. This role will support the growth of our aircraft portfolio and complement our broader MRO and aviation services business.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Sourcing & Acquisition
- Source commercial aircraft opportunities, primarily A320 and B737 families, as well as widebody aircraft
- Build and maintain relationships with lessors, airlines, brokers, and aircraft owners
- Identify and originate off-market opportunities
- Lead end-to-end acquisition process including valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing
Asset Management & Strategy
- Manage aircraft lifecycle strategy (acquisition, leasing, remarketing, and disposal)
- Monitor asset performance and track market trends
- Develop leasing strategies including placements, extensions, and transitions
- Support sale-leaseback and structured transactions
Technical & Financial Coordination
- Work with technical teams on aircraft condition assessments (LLPs, cycles, maintenance status)
- Partner with finance teams on investment analysis, ROI/IRR modeling, and risk evaluation
Commercial Execution & Market Intelligence
- Execute aircraft transactions and expand sourcing networks
- Continuously develop market intelligence and industry relationships
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in aircraft leasing, asset management, or airline fleet management
- Background with a recognized lessor, airline, or aviation investment firm
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing aircraft transactions
- Strong industry network with direct access to sourcing channels (lessors, airlines, brokers)
- Deep knowledge of A320 and B737 markets, lease structures, and asset valuation
- Understanding of technical aircraft status (LLPs, cycles, maintenance planning)
- Experience with trading, leasing, remarketing, and sale-leaseback transactions
- Strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Global mindset with an established aviation network
Additional Details
- Salary Range: CAD $150,000 – $200,000
- Travel: Occasional travel required (including Europe and the United States)
