- Compensation: $60 to $70/hour
- Please note, this role is fully in-office in the client’s Oshawa office.
Responsibilities
- Review project-level activities and documentation to support CRA tax filings, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Build and maintain detailed working papers that tie source documentation to filing positions and calculations
- Partner with Project Managers and stakeholders to clarify scope, classifications, and missing information
- Identify documentation gaps, assess risks, and escalate issues as needed
- Design and implement automated workflows (intake templates, trackers, dashboards) to streamline data collection and reporting
- Act as a process champion by supporting workflow improvements, system testing, and user training
- Perform contract reviews and interpret scope, deliverables, and pricing structures to fill data gaps
- Develop analytical schedules (allocations, ratios, reconciliations) to support tax positions
- Interpret and apply CRA legislation and internal program requirements to ensure compliance
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of tax compliance and ability to interpret CRA legislation in a practical, project-based context
- Experience preparing or supporting tax filings, working papers, or audit documentation
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to review large volumes of data, identify inconsistencies, and recommend solutions
- Proven experience building structured analyses (reconciliations, allocations, variance analysis)
- Strong document management skills, including version control, traceability, and audit readiness
- Experience designing workflows, templates, and automation tools to improve efficiency and tracking
- Proficiency with business systems and tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, and other data/workflow platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and clearly present findings and requirements
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail
