Compensation
- Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with opportunities for future full-time engagement if interested. Expected salary range is $50,000 – $70,000.

Responsibilities
- Build the division from the ground up by creating and executing a detailed business plan targeting key market segments
- Develop underwriting parameters including rating structures, policy wording, and terms
- Analyze market data to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decisions
- Underwrite new and existing portfolios, especially during the initial startup phase
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design insurance programs, build out portfolios, and refine underwriting guidelines
- Contribute to long-term growth strategies for the division, with a focus on construction projects across commercial and residential sectors
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of construction insurance, including Course of Construction (COC) and Wrap-up policies
- Proven experience in underwriting, with a strong grasp of rating strategies and policy language
- Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic business plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity with building or managing insurance programs is a plus
