What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead underwriting operations across personal lines, farm, commercial, and liability
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day support to a strong underwriting team
- Guide complex and escalated underwriting decisions with sound judgement and confidence
- Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, acting as a trusted partner and escalation point
- Contribute to the evolution of underwriting practices, guidelines, and risk appetite
- Monitor portfolio performance, trends, and exposure to support informed decision-making
- Collaborate closely with Claims, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams
- Champion continuous improvement across underwriting processes, tools, and workflows
- Leverage data, insights, and technology to enhance consistency and decision quality
- Support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
What You Bring
- Progressive underwriting experience across personal lines, farm, commercial, or liability
- Leadership experience—whether through direct management or senior-level guidance
- Strong underwriting judgement and a balanced approach to risk
- A relationship-driven mindset with the ability to build trust internally and externally
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with a desire to contribute ideas and improvements
- CIP designation (or equivalent experience) is considered an asset
