Our client is seeking a Director, Legal & Policy Services to provide strategic leadership and legal expertise across the organization. In this role, you will oversee corporate governance, procurement, statutory interpretation, privacy law, and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You will lead Legal & Policy Services and the Review Office, driving excellence in legal operations and policy development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Counsel in achieving divisional goals and strategic initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team within Legal & Policy Services and the Review Office, including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Provide legal analysis and guidance on organizational matters, monitor legal developments, and advise stakeholders.
- Manage crisis response, contribute to legislative and policy drafting, and assist the Corporate Secretary as needed.
- Represent the organization at meetings and conferences, and liaise with external counsel.
- Commit to continuous professional development and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Legal Credentials: A law degree and eligibility to practice in Manitoba.
- Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive legal leadership experience, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing legal professionals.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic decisions.
- Technical & Ethical Standards: Proficiency in legal technology and a demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Bilingualism: Fluency in English and French is considered an asset.
