About The Role
Our client is seeking a Construction Accounting Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of their Construction team.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects run smoothly by managing documentation, coordinating workflows, and supporting Project Managers across multiple active developments. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on organization, and is looking to build a long-term career within construction or real estate.
You will gain exposure to a variety of project types, including capital projects and tenant improvements, while working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy, coding, and timely approvals
- Assist with tracking project budgets and cash flow reporting
- Coordinate construction activities and documentation alongside Project Managers
- Prepare and draft contracts, change orders, and purchase orders
- Maintain project documentation including drawings, correspondence, and close-out packages
- Support monthly reporting by coordinating project financial and operational data
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal departments
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes
- Manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for leadership
- Maintain organized filing systems and project records
- Provide administrative support across Construction, Property Management, and Project teams
- Assist with general office coordination and ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- 1–3 years of accounting administrative experience (construction, real estate, or related industry preferred)
- Exposure to commercial real estate or construction environments is an asset
- Basic understanding of accounting processes (invoices, budgets, expense tracking)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, Yardi, or similar systems is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Adaptable, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
Compensation
- $60,000 – $67,000 Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
- Full-time opportunity (40 hours per week)
