We are seeking a highly organized Project Administrator to support a busy project and operations team within a structural steel / fabrication environment. This role plays a key part in keeping projects on track by coordinating documentation, supporting procurement and logistics, and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple active jobs. The successful candidate must have experience in a fabrication environment.
This is a 3 month contract with potential for extension starting ASAP. Location is in office SE Edmonton.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Project Managers across multiple fabrication and construction projects
- Maintain and organize project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
- Assist with tracking of project progress, key milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
- Assist with purchase orders, material tracking, and coordination with vendors and suppliers
- Support invoicing processes including progress billings, tracking costs, and reconciling project budgets
- Coordinate communication between shop, field crews, and office teams to ensure alignment on project requirements
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage data entry and maintain accuracy across internal systems and spreadsheets
- Assist with scheduling, logistics, and site documentation as required
Qualifications
- 2+ years of project administrative experience within manufacturing, or similar industrial environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with project management or ERP systems is an asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, shop, and project teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with shifting priorities
