Our client, a nationally established insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Surety Account Manager to take charge of a substantial book and forge strong client relationships.
Compensation
- The role offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, along with performance-based incentives to reward your success and dedication.
- Base salary between $80,000 – $110,000 based on experience

Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio in contract and commercial surety, ensuring strong performance and profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and brokers, providing responsive service to support client satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Review contracts, bond tenders, and insurance documentation to confirm accuracy and regulatory compliance prior to issuance.
- Monitor bond renewals, expirations, and outstanding requirements to maintain continuous coverage and minimize risk exposure.
- Support business development initiatives to expand the surety portfolio.
- Manage high-volume workloads while maintaining strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Apply specialized surety knowledge while continuing to build broader insurance expertise to support increasingly complex client needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta insurance license is required
- Proven experience in surety and commercial insurance, preferably managing large portfolios
- Strong understanding of surety and contract bonds
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze complex financial and contractual data
