We’re hiring a Payroll Administrator for a part-time (28 hours per month) opportunity supporting a growing, tech-driven organization with employees across Canada and the US. This is a great fit for someone experienced, independent, and confident managing payroll end-to-end with minimal oversight.
You’ll own the full payroll cycle using UKG Pro, supporting both Canadian and US employees, along with reconciliations, compliance, and employee inquiries.
This role will be mainly remote but will require the candidate to be located in Alberta for the occasional in office requirement. This is a 6 month contract position with potential to be extended.
What you’ll be doing:
- Run full-cycle payroll for 100 employees (Canada & US, semi-monthly)
- Process payroll in UKG Pro, including audits, adjustments, and submissions
- Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, and resolve discrepancies
- Perform GL and benefits reconciliations
- Manage ROEs, terminations, bonuses, and commissions
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues
- Support compliance for T4s and W-2s
What we’re looking for:
- 3–5+ years of payroll experience (Canada & US)
- UKG Pro experience is required
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and reconciliations
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
- Comfortable with a fractional workload that peaks around payroll cycles
