Aplin is partnering with a highly successful and well-established advisory team in Saskatoon to recruit a Senior Financial Planner who is passionate about delivering thoughtful, comprehensive wealth planning to clients.
This role is ideal for a planner who enjoys working deeply with clients to develop sophisticated financial strategies rather than focusing on sales or business development. You will work closely alongside experienced advisors who have built long-standing relationships with successful individuals, families, and business owners.
As the team continues to grow, they are looking for a planning professional who can play a key role in developing and delivering comprehensive wealth strategies, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions across investments, tax, retirement, and estate planning.
This is a rare opportunity to focus on the planning side of wealth management while being part of a collaborative and highly respected advisory team.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with an Advisor to develop comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth clients and families
- Participate in deep client discovery meetings to understand financial goals, family dynamics, and business interests
- Analyze complex financial scenarios and develop strategies related to retirement, tax, estate, and wealth planning
- Prepare and present detailed financial plans and planning recommendations
- Collaborate with internal specialists to implement sophisticated wealth strategies
- Support client meetings and ongoing relationship management
- Contribute to client education initiatives, including financial planning seminars and presentations
- Stay current on financial planning strategies, tax considerations, and industry developments
What You Bring
- CFP designation (required) or CPA/CA working toward CFP
- Experience developing or supporting comprehensive financial plans
- Strong technical understanding of retirement, tax, and estate planning strategies
- Experience working with financial planning software and scenario modeling tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in helping clients achieve long-term financial success
