Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance to underwriting teams on risk assessment, policy wording, and pricing strategies
- Develop and support innovative insurance products, including new initiatives
- Collaborate cross-province and cross-functionally with corporate underwriting and other stakeholders
- Analyze market segments, geographies, and lines of business to recommend product improvements
- Lead and participate in special projects, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Ensure products and rating changes adhere to regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
- Promote workflow efficiencies through coaching and information sessions
- Support reinsurance program analysis and exposure management efforts
- Stay current with emerging market trends and participate in professional development
Qualifications
- CIP or FCIP designation preferred
- Minimum 10 years of multi-line underwriting experience, with a focus on personal lines and auto preferred
- Proven experience with Guidewire
- Strong knowledge of reinsurance, product development, and regulatory reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with great attention to detail
