Our client is seeking a talented Superintendent to join their team in Calgary, AB.

Our client are an award-winning industry leader in the construction of residential high rises, mixed-use developments and commercial projects that range in size up to $600 million. They have been actively working on projects throughout Canada for over 40 years and have delivered over 200 projects.
About the Opportunity
As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of residential construction projects from initiation to completion. This role involves coordinating and supervising construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Site Superintendent will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
About the Position
- Implementation of Health and Safety programs.
- Manage the site forces required to construct the project in accordance with the contracts, plans and specifications.
- Maintain the overall project schedule.
- Ensure that the work meets or exceeds the level of quality established by ITC Standard Procedures for Quality Control.
- Execution of the work in accordance with Contract documents, sub-contracts/contracts, plans, specifications and shop drawings including coordination and execution of changes to the work.
- Management, coordination, control and motivation of the Trade Contractors involved in the project to complete the work in an efficient and professional manner.
- Implementation of the organizational systems and controls outlined and to bring a professional approach to the construction site administration.
- Review the trade contracts scopes of work and advise the Project Manager in writing of any discrepancies between the contract scopes of work and the project requirements.
- Inspect the work on a continuing and regular basis to ensure compliance with the drawings, specifications and good building practice.
The Requirements
- Experience as a Site Superintendent or similar role in residential construction. Strong understanding of residential building processes, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction field, preferably on high rise residential projects.
- Red Seal Certification is an asset
- A relevant degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- OSHA certification and other relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
Compensation
- Salary: $110,000 – $130,000
- 3 weeks’ vacation
