This role offers the opportunity to manage a steady and sophisticated estates practice while building business development skills and expanding referral networks. The successful candidate will have carriage of files with appropriate oversight and support, along with clear revenue targets and a transparent bonus structure that directly rewards performance.

About The Position
Reporting directly to the Firm Owner, the Associate Lawyer will manage matters relating to Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Estate Litigation, Guardianship Applications, Passing of Accounts, and related Civil Litigation.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research and drafting analytical memoranda
- Preparing pleadings, correspondence, contracts, and related legal documents
- Advising clients on strategy, risk, and resolution options
- Managing files from intake through resolution
- Attending mediations, case conferences, discoveries, and other proceedings
- Collaborating with team members and mentoring junior staff as needed
- Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous time entries
The successful candidate must practice in accordance with the standards set by the Law Society of Ontario and uphold the highest level of professional and ethical conduct.
The Requirements
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant legal experience
• Experience in Estates and/or Civil Litigation
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent client service and communication abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Compensation
• Compensation range of $110,000 – $150,000, plus performance-based bonus
• Professional fees and travel expenses covered
