Our client, a division of the Government of Alberta, is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support a senior executive within a newly established provincial operations branch.

This is not a typical administrative role. The environment is high-volume, fast-moving, and will become increasingly reactive during peak operational periods. The successful candidate will be steady, proactive, detail-driven, and able to operate with urgency and discretion in a public-sector executive setting.

This is a 3-month contract with strong potential for extension. It is also onsite located in NW Edmonton.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Full executive calendar management with high attention to detail required
  • Proactive inbox monitoring and meeting flow management
  • Anticipating priorities and prompting appropriately
  • Monitoring shifting priorities and managing competing demands
  • Reviewing documents for accuracy, formatting, and clarity
  • Providing technical writing review support and proofreading executive correspondence
  • Ensuring government documentation flows correctly through approval processes
  • Identifying gaps, blind spots, or conflicts early
  • Helping build structure and processes within a new and evolving branch
  • Supporting operations during high-volume periods with composure and urgency
What You Bring
  • Strong experience with ARTS (required)
  • Experience supporting senior executives within the Government of Alberta
  • Deep understanding of government processes and documentation flows
  • Exceptional technical proofreading skills
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Agile, adaptable, and comfortable working where processes are still being developed
