This role supports front-office treasury activities with a strong focus on capital markets, cash and debt management, and advanced financial analytics. The successful candidate will combine traditional treasury expertise with strong technical and data automation capabilities to enhance reporting, insights, and decision-making.

The successful candidate will combine traditional treasury expertise with strong technical and data automation capabilities to enhance reporting, insights, and decision-making.
Benefits & Perks:
- Compensation: $60 to $70/hour
- Please note, this role will be hybrid (3 times a week on-site at the Client’s Oshawa office).
- Support strategy and policy development related to corporate cash, foreign exchange, debt, and risk management programs
- Conduct capital markets research, cash management projects, and economic evaluations.
- Analyze and maintain financial, economic, and socioeconomic data to support treasury decision-making.
- Monitor bond, money, and foreign exchange markets and execute day-to-day financial transactions.
- Buy and sell securities and assist with negotiating financing arrangements within assigned authorities.
- Prepare financial analyses, cost/benefit studies, and recommendations for alternative financing structures
- Assist with debt issuance activities, including prospectus preparation and engagement with issuers and underwriters.
- Support presentations to regulatory bodies, ministries, and legislative hearings through analytical reporting
- Develop and maintain treasury reporting, records, and documentation.
- Build Power BI report templates to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Design and maintain centralized SQL databases for treasury data
- Automate treasury reporting processes using Excel macros, Python, or VBA
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external financial institutions, and market experts
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in treasury, capital markets, finance, or economics
- Strong understanding of cash management, debt management, foreign exchange, and investment analysis
- Proven experience in buying and selling securities and supporting financing transactions
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and complex spreadsheeting
- Solid experience with SQL databases and Power BI (required)
- Experience streamlining reporting through automation (macros, scripts, dashboards)
- Proficiency in Python or VBA (preferred)
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical writing skills
- Ability to assess economic indices, market trends, and financial climate impacts
- Excellent communication skills with experience supporting senior stakeholders and regulatory reporting
