The Role
As an Accountant / Accounting Technician, you’ll play a key role in our public practice operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end Compilation Engagement Reports
- Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns
- Preparing tax slips including T4, T5, and T5018s
- Working with advanced accounting and tax software to deliver accurate, timely results
- Analyzing financial information and identifying issues or opportunities for clients
- Communicating directly with clients and internal team members
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of public practice experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a team
- Experience with or exposure to:
- Caseware
- Profile
- JazzIt
- Excel (intermediate to advanced)
- Professional, client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
