We’re supporting a busy, fast-paced procurement team that needs an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist who can step in immediately and take work off the team’s plate. This is a hands-on role for someone confident operating independently in a structured supply chain environment.
You’ll be joining a collaborative but high-volume group that supports operations and projects across the business. This role requires sound commercial judgment, strong stakeholder presence, and the ability to navigate established procurement policies.
This is a 6 month contract with potential for extension located downtown Calgary.
What you’ll be doing:
- Run RFQs and RFPs end to end, from development through evaluation, recommendation, and award
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, and commercial terms with vendors
- Work within existing MSAs and preferred vendor lists
- Support operations and project teams with high-volume sourcing needs
- Prepare recommendations and present sourcing decisions to internal committees when required
- Manage sourcing activities with a focus on cost effectiveness, compliance, and speed
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
What we’re looking for:
- 7–10+ years of Supply Chain or Procurement experience, ideally in oil and gas or an industrial environment
- Proven experience running RFQs/RFPs and negotiating contracts independently
- Strong commercial judgment and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Experience working within complex procurement policies and governance structures
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle, or similar SCM systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
- SCMP designation is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
