Aplin has partnered with a long-standing, well-respected organization in the manufacturing industry, with operations across the Prairies and a reputation built on quality, reliability, and strong customer relationships. While the work they do is technically demanding and detail-driven, the way they work together is what truly sets us apart.
This is a team that values safety, collaboration, accountability, and pride in doing great work — without losing the sense of humor that makes coming to work enjoyable. People there support one another, step up when needed, and take real ownership in what they do. Excellence matters, but so does having fun and working as a true team.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing core accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and general ledger across multiple entities
- Preparing and reviewing day-to-day accounting transactions and journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
- Reviewing monthly bank reconciliations for Canadian and U.S. accounts

- Performing variance and margin analysis to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition
- Assisting with monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Supporting year-end audit processes and coordinating audit requests
- Handling required provincial and federal tax filings
- Collaborating across teams to streamline workflows and improve accounting systems
- Participating in cross-training to support coverage within the finance team
- Contributing ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and consistency
- Supporting special projects and initiatives as the business continues to evolve
This role rewards curiosity, initiative, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business
- 5+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience, including reporting and analysis
- CPA designation preferred (or actively working toward it)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight deadlines
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear, confident communication and strong organizational abilities
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with modern accounting tools
- Experience with multiple legal entities is a strong asset
- Background in manufacturing, construction, or steel fabrication is an advantage
- Willingness to occasionally travel to other Prairie locations
Why Join This Team?
- A supportive, collaborative, and genuinely positive culture
- A team that values trust, teamwork, and showing up for one another
- Interesting, hands-on work with real ownership and impact
- Opportunity to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time
- Stable organization with a strong reputation and long-term outlook
