We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a fast-paced, growing organization in the renewable energy sector. This role is based in downtown Calgary and offers a hybrid work model.
What You’ll Do
- Process vendor invoices across multiple entities with accuracy and efficiency
- Enter and route bills for approval to teams across various locations
- Verify invoices against purchase orders
- Prepare, print, and distribute cheques
- Upload company credit card transactions into the accounting system
- Handle vendor inquiries and support internal staff regarding payments
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
- Maintain organized digital and physical AP filing systems
- Support journal entry preparation, including intercompany transactions
- Maintain and update vendor and system records
- Contribute to ongoing process documentation and improvements
- Jump in to support the broader accounting team as needed
Requirements
- Accounting degree or diploma preferred
- 2+ years of recent accounting or AP experience
- Experience working in a multi-entity or complex environment is required
- Advanced Excel skills and accurate data entry abilities
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Positive attitude, dependable, and a team player
