Safety/Reliability Engineer

If you are a talented and experienced Safety/Reliability Engineer, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! Our client is looking for someone to be a part of a cross-functional team, to ensure safety and efficiency within the organization. This is a 3-year contract opportunity, with high potential for extension, and is available to candidates in the Brampton, ON area.
 
Responsibilities:

• Review system-level designs for large space systems and perform analyses, such as safety/hazard analysis, reliability analysis, fault tree analysis, failure mode analysis, and/or life analysis.
• Early identification of safety risks and mitigation planning.
• Define safety and reliability requirements, including safety controls.
• Finding process improvements for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in safety/hazard analysis and/or reliability fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or any engineering discipline is required.
• Experience conducting in-depth safety/hazard analysis, reliability analysis, fault tree analysis, and failure mode analysis.
• Proactively identify safety risks and work within cross-functional teams to create mitigation plans to ensure the safety and reliability of systems.
• Successfully implement safety controls and provide support for the execution of the process.
• Proficiency in MS Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
