Western Truck & Tire (WTT), developed by Western Sales (1986) Ltd., is a new, fully integrated commercial service center supporting heavy-duty trucking, agricultural fleets, industrial equipment, and passenger vehicles across West-Central Saskatchewan. Operating out of a 48,000 sq. ft. facility, WTT houses multiple national brands — including OK Tire and A&I/Ag Parts — along with additional strategic partners. The location features a complete diesel services division, SGI inspection station, and extensive on-farm and on-highway service capabilities.

Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and people leadership of Western Truck & Tire in Rosetown. This role oversees all business units — OK Tire, Retail/Wholesale Parts, Diesel Services, SGI Inspection Station, and On-Site Service — ensuring operational excellence, service quality, profitability, safety, and strong team performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and support all department leaders and staff, including the Service Manager, Tire Division Sales Manager, Parts Manager, Shop Foreman, Technicians, Tire Technicians, Parts Staff, and Service Writers.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on teamwork, accountability, and safety.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and succession planning.

2. Operations Management
  • Manage day-to-day operations across all business units.
  • Ensure efficient shop workflow, bay utilization, technician productivity, and timely service execution.
  • Work closely with the parts team to maintain strong alignment between parts availability and service operations.
  • Ensure operational consistency, proper documentation, safety compliance, and service quality across the facility.

3. Financial & Business Performance
  • Take full ownership of the location’s P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing expenses.
  • Monitor service margins, parts revenue, tire program performance, and labor utilization.
  • Implement effective pricing strategies aligned with OK Tire and other business frameworks.
4. Customer Experience & Market Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional trucking companies, farmers, fleets, and oil & gas clients.
  • Lead customer retention initiatives, fleet service programs, and new business development efforts.

5. Safety, Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with SGI standards, safety protocols, and multi-brand requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility, following WHMIS, OH&S, and environmental regulations.

6. Strategic Growth & Cross-Division Integration
  • Support ag equipment tire/track distribution and provide overflow repair support as needed.
  • Identify new service offerings and revenue opportunities to support long-term growth.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in truck/automotive service, tire operations, fleet maintenance, or heavy-duty mechanical environments.
  • Knowledge of agricultural equipment, sprayers, or commercial fleet operations.
  • Proven experience leading teams of technicians and frontline staff.
  • Strong operational and business acumen with demonstrated P&L accountability.
  • Knowledge of safety, compliance, and equipment standards.
  • Experience with OK Tire, NAPA, or similar programs is considered an asset.
