We’re looking for a hands-on, ADP-proficient, HR Manager to build and run a full HR function for a growing organization with ~200 employees across Edmonton and Calgary. This role is full-time onsite in Acheson and ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, blue-collar environments.
You’ll take charge of HR from the ground up — implementing ADP processes, leading full-cycle recruitment (including heavy seasonal hiring), strengthening retention, building relationships, and creating structure.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all day-to-day HR operations
- Build HR processes, policies, and tools from scratch
- Own ADP setup, optimization, and ongoing use
- Handle employee relations, investigations, and coaching
- Lead high-volume seasonal recruitment and onboarding
- Build relationships with trade schools (NAIT, Olds, U of C, etc.)
- Support compensation, benefits, and policy administration
- Develop retention strategies and drive engagement
- Work closely with leaders to support workforce planning
- Occasionally travel to Calgary as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience
- Expert-level ADP experience (non – negotiable)
- Strong understanding of Alberta labour laws
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Experience in construction, landscaping, industrial, or similar sectors
- Able to manage fast-changing priorities and a high-volume environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Bilingual Spanish is an asset
- Experience with seasonal hiring or shutdown labour cycles
