We are hiring an experienced HR Manager for our Richmond client. This role supports a large leadership group, multiple locations, and provides leadership for a team of 5. Reporting to the Director, the HR Manager will focus on day-to-day HR operations and special projects.

Our client, one of the fastest growing retail groups in Canada is looking to add a Human Resources Manager.
About The Opportunity
The HR Manager will provide mentorship and guidance to a team of 5. Focused on the day-to-day HR operations, the HR Manager will be involved in special projects, this may include improvement projects, policy development and technology improvements. The HR Manager role is in office, with 1 day working from home. A valid driver’s license is required, there will be occasional travel to local retail locations.
About The Position
- Supports all HR functions in the BC region.
- Supports, coaches, and advises Management on all HR related matters.
- Reviews and updates policies and procedures and implements new initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with local legislation.
- Leads HR functions such as performance management, return to work, employee relations, disciplinary action, engagement, benefits, and health & safety.
- Develops and implement training initiatives.
- Guiding the HR Department with development and monitoring of HR metrics, while reporting areas of concerns and opportunities. In your own words, describe the duties, department and reporting structure for the position.
The Requirements
- 5 years of HR experience and 2 years in a leadership role.
- Post secondary degree in HR Management.
- CPHR is an asset.
- Experience with labour relations in a unionized environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of employment law and legislation.
- Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively and influence decisions.
- Prior experience mentoring and leading developing HR professionals is required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to travel to retail locations across the lower mainland.
Compensation
- Annual salary range $100,000 – $120,000 depending on experience.
