About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reviewing the work of junior accounting staff, preparing month-end reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and audit preparation. This role will also serve as an ERP subject-matter expert for systems such as NetSuite and QuickBooks, supporting process improvements and providing technical support to the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple entities, including monthly journal entries and working papers
- Review work completed by Accounting Technicians (reconciliations, bank/credit card statements, journal entries)
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end closing entries, consolidations, and supporting schedules
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow)
- Support annual financial statement audits and prepare related working papers and disclosures
- Assist with corporate and sales tax filings (GST/PST/US Sales Tax)
- Review and record payroll entries, accruals, and benefit funding transactions
- Act as an ERP super-user, supporting the accounting team with NetSuite and QuickBooks process improvements
- Support process enhancements and provide mentorship to junior accounting staff
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CPA designation (or final stages of completion) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience (public practice or corporate)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles
- Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments
- Proficiency with NetSuite and QuickBooks Online required; familiarity with Tipalti or Maxio an asset
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the technology or aerospace/space industry
- Familiarity with Adaptive Insights or other reporting tools
