Aplin has partnered with a well-established, industry-leading packaging distributor to recruit a Packaging Specialist (Outside Sales) to join their growing sales team in Ontario. This role focuses on developing and expanding business within the food packaging and product contact packaging sector.
The successful candidate will inherit a territory currently generating approximately $1 million in annual revenue, with strong potential for growth within the food industry. You will be joining a supportive national sales organization known for its customer-first culture, technical expertise, and commitment to long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target new customers through networking, cold calling, and industry events
- Build and nurture strong customer relationships, assess client needs, present tailored solutions, and negotiate profitable agreements
- Generate leads through various channels including email, social media, and referrals
- Conduct professional sales presentations and product demonstrations both in person and virtually
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, manage pricing negotiations, and maintain detailed customer records using CRM software
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Provide regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and updates to management
- minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within packaging, distribution, or industrial supply
- Proven record of exceeding sales targets and managing customer relationships within competitive markets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to win and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools
