Aplin have partnered with our client to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk for an immediate temporary role based in Winnipeg. Responsibilities
- Serve as a professional point of contact between the organization, vendors, and community partners.
- Review supplier invoices to ensure proper approvals and compliance with company policies.
- Accurately code and enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure correct general ledger allocation.
- Verify employee expense reimbursements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain up-to-date vendor records.
- Respond to vendor inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- File and organize invoices, statements, and other accounting documents.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies as they arise.
- Support and improve accounts payable policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Criminal background check is required.
