Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $100,000 - $112,000 CAD annually
- Please note, this role will be fully in office at the client’s Whitby, ON office

- Lead the preparation and delivery of annual budgets, long-range forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Provide timely financial analysis and recommendations to support Command and Senior Leadership decision-making
- Monitor unit and branch spending to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets and financial policies
- Administer and enhance financial planning and reporting systems, tools, and models
- Conduct monthly analysis of spending trends, year-end projections, and variance reporting
- Audit key expenditure areas including payroll, capital, and revenue recovery
- Develop and deliver training programs for leadership and finance staff on budgeting, reporting, and system use
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and benchmarking analyses for internal and external stakeholders
- Champion continuous process improvement within the Finance Unit through system and workflow enhancements
- Collaborate on special projects and initiatives as assigned
- University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis
- Strong background managing full budget and forecast cycles within large ERP environments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint) and ERP reporting tools
- Proven ability to design and deliver finance-related training and presentations for senior audiences
- Strong analytical and audit skills with attention to accuracy and compliance
- Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
- Proven ability to work with discretion and handle confidential information
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
