Our client, a leading independent asset management firm, is growing their Private Client Investment Team in Downtown Toronto, ON. Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with private clients and family offices across Central Canada (Ontario and Manitoba)
- Prospect and identify new opportunities, executing tailored business development strategies
- Act as a trusted investment advisor, communicating portfolio decisions, market outlooks, and asset allocation recommendations
- Collaborate with internal teams including portfolio management, client service, and compliance to ensure high-quality client experience
- Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Maintain ongoing engagement and retention of existing clients through proactive communication and strategic portfolio reviews
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in investment management, private wealth, or a related field (e.g., portfolio management, client relationship management, investment banking, consulting)
- Strong understanding of financial markets and ability to speak credibly about investment strategies and portfolio construction
- Proven track record in business development or managing high-net-worth client relationships
- CFA charterholder and/or CIM designation required (must meet OSC registration requirements)
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (MBA/MS an asset)
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal and presentation skills; driven, professional, and client-focused
