Our client, a reputable insurance brokerage in Woodbridge, ON, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an in-office role ideal for someone looking for steady, long-term hours in a supportive environment.
Role Details
- Part-time, 15 hours per week (on-site)
- Permanent part-time position
- Hourly rate: $30 to $35/hour
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume transactions (approx. 100 cheques weekly)
- Manage client and bank requests, EFTs, and transfers
- Prepare and issue cheques, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Handle trust accounting and work with associated companies as needed
- Respond to emails and maintain organized financial records
- Collaborate with the team to support accounting functions (no payroll required)
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within the insurance industry
- Knowledge of trust accounting
- Experience with Epic or another BMS (Broker Management System) strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume work accurately
- Reliable, organized, and committed to long-term part-time employment
